STRENGTH IN MEMBERSHIP NUMBERS

With the end of the financial year fast approaching, the Northern Illawarra Chamber of Commerce (NICC) is in the process of calling for renewal of existing memberships, all of which expire on 30 June 2008; and, is preparing for its Annual General Meeting to be held on 5 August when all Executive positions are up for re-election.

In an effort to further strengthen its fast growing membership base, this month the NICC is collaborating with local business, Northern Illawarra Online, to offer 700 small businesses, located between Helensburgh and Thirroul, the opportunity of also joining this active Chamber of Commerce.

As a bonus to existing members, and as an incentive for other small businesses looking to join a progressive business network, the NICC is offering both its existing and new members, a ‘pay on time’ discount for membership fees received on or before 30 June 2008.

The Northern Illawarra Chamber of Commerce has been serving the coastal villages between Helensburgh and Thirroul since 1996. The Chamber has an active Executive Committee whose aim is to provide an effective organisational, member-based platform which values, supports, and gives voice to the business community of the Northern Illawarra.

The Northern Illawarra Chamber of Commerce has had a very successful 2007-8 year in terms of building its membership base; strengthening relationships with government, tourism, media and other organisations; and in the development of two major marketing tools – one that will foster a Business to Business ‘buy local’ mindset; and the other that will generate tourism to our region.
