NEW NICC EXECUTIVE

The Northern Illawarra Chamber of Commerce is in full swing after the appointment of its newly elected 2008-9 Executive Committee, including John Radnidge of Symbio Wildlife Park, Ian Pepper of Property Penguin, and Suzi Middelkoop of Tea By the Sea.

The NICC continues its work with The Department of Environment and Climate Change, who is currently in the process of short listing NICC member businesses to take part in the pilot of a new small business Waste Management Program; and with the Police Local Area Command to provide support and ideas for their new pro-active policing campaign for community safety within the Northern Illawarra region.

The NICC is expanding its online communications channels in the coming months in addition to existing e-newsletter, the Chamber Blast. It is hoped that the new initiative, which will be unveiled at the October General meeting, will provide an alternative medium for our members to voice their opinions and participate in discussion groups, and allows the Chamber to keep them informed about upcoming meetings and events.

The Chamber is also preparing for its annual Ball on Friday 7 November. It is an open invitation to everyone for a MAGIC CARPET RIDE at Panorama House, Bulli Tops.
