Scott Smith advise that Helensburgh Beautification Project has received a grant to fund the construction of the large community sign at the Parkes Street entrance to Helensburgh – wonderful news and another success for Scott personally.

Guest Speaker was Bronwyn McGrath, who gave a presentation of the Festival of Flight for 2006. Bronwyn summarised the history of the FoF and the aim and budget for this year. The event is scheduled for Sunday 12 November 2006. NICC has been and will continue to be a supporter of FoF as the main event of its type in the Northern Illawarra. Some members operating in Stanwell Park expressed concern as to the event being held on a Sunday, their strong sales day of the week anyway, and would rather the FoF be on a Saturday. Bronwyn requested financial assistance of $10,000. The NICC Executive Team will formulate the NICC response for significant financial assistance at their next meeting later in July.
