NICC Strategic Plan
OUR ROLE
To provide an effective organisational, member-based platform that values, supports, and gives voice to the business community of the Northern Illawarra.
To fulfil its role as an effective business organisation for its members, the Northern Illawarra Chamber of Commerce has identified two objectives that will provide the Chamber with a framework from which to work within, while allowing for future growth.
The Executive Committee has designed a Strategic Plan which carefully defines how we intend to meet our objectives, and ensure that the Northern Illawarra Chamber of Commerce delivers on its goal to provide support, benefits and value to all of its members. Please find below, an overview of the Chamber's Strategic Plan.
NICC OBJECTIVES and SRATEGIES
1. TO Provide a voice for businesses in the Northern illawarra
The Chamber understands the importance for the Northern Illawarra business community to have the ability to be heard and respected on issues that affect them. The strategies we will employ to achieve this objective are:
Develop our Branding - We will endeavour to strengthen and protect the ChamberÕs integrity and profile through the standardisation of our brand over all communication mediums; increase our membership base; and seek opportunities to participate and support new local community projects and events.
Develop Media Relationships - The appointment of a dedicated Officer to liaise and provide regular and informative content to print and/or broadcast media, will assist the NICC to build a strong presence on business related issues affecting our members.
Develop positive business, government and organisational relationships - The NICC will continue to seek and encourage new and ongoing working partnerships between key organisations, government bodies and other businesses that result in a range of positive outcomes for our members and the region.
2. TO Provide value added benefits for members
A core objective of the NICC is to provide our members with valuable support systems and resources that help them to meet the pressures of their unique local business environment and sustain them into the future. The strategies the NICC will employ to achieve this objective are:
Provide networking opportunities - The NICC acknowledges that different businesses network in different ways. By providing both a regular business networking forum for our members to be able to listen to, receive information and express themselves, as well as providing a range of regular social events which are informal and fun, we aim to satisfy all of our members networking needs.
Facilitate business and personal development opportunities - The benefits of building strong relationships with business, organisational partners and associates, and government allows the NICC access to, and facilitation of, business workshops and seminars, and provides members access to a greater range of new perspectives, partnerships and opportunities important for business growth and sustainability.
Provide access to a range of business related resources - The NICC aims to develop a range of easy access, relevant and helpful resources from which our members can draw, inform or participate, some of which include co-operative and cross promotional advertising and marketing initiatives.
